Volunteer Before The Dinner
Get to know some of the organizers before the dinner by joining the committee. It meets about three times before the dinner. Some of the volunteer positions are just for the day of the dinner and involve showing up at 5:00pm on the night. We need people to fill the following roles:
- Committee Member - Suggest speakers, help where needed
- Secretary - Correspond with potential speakers, write up minutes
- Speaker Liaison - Meet and greet the speaker
- Assistant Treasurer - help the treasurer
- Assistant Cambridge Co-Chair - help the Cambridge Co-Chair
- Assistant Oxford Co-Chair - help the Oxford Co-Chair
- Menu Manager - work with the Co-Chairs and the selected venue to select food and wine for the event
- Webmaster - keep this website fresh and updated
- Registration system webmaster - work with our Eventbrite site and the Treasurer
Volunteer On The Night
On the night of the Boat Race Dinner we need the following:
- Greeters - to hand out badges and welcome guests
- Table checkers - to check the layout of the tables and ensure the menus are in place
- Recruiter - to recruit volunteers for the 2011 Boat Race Dinner Organizing Team
- Photographer - to take photographs
